Top Ten NBA Fantasy Basketball Studs–February 6, 2007
See my full daily fantasy basketball rant here.
Zach “Here Comes Trouble” Randolph–35 points 10 rebounds and three assists leading the Clippers to a road win in Memphis. Um, Coach Hollins, you’ve been suffering from a case of Irrational Exuberance.
Brandon Roy–32 points, nine boards and six assists, winning the battle but losing the war to Kevin Durant and the Thunder in Okieville. Next time, maybe Greg Oden will show up, too.
Kevin Martin–37 points, five caroms and two assists in a Heroic, But Ultimately Futile home loss to the Jazz. Winning by only four in Sad-ramento feels the same as losing anywhere else.
Dwight “Superman” Howard–21 points and 20 rebounds (!) in a shocking road loss to the Pacers in Indianapolis. Magic Anthony Johnson is not to be confused with Magic Johnson. Paging Tyronn Lue.
Mehmet Okur–28 points, 11 boards and two assists, which means he’s off my fantasy roster this week, as the Jazz scrape by in Sactown.
Deron Williams–34 points, three boards and four dimes, leading the Jazz in their less-than-satisfying win against the Kings. He should have a deep thigh bruise all the time.
Danny Granger–33 points, five rebounds and an assist, playing on a leg and a half, in the Pacers’ surprising home win against the Magic. Last time they played in Orlando they looked like the I.U. Hoosiers.
Antawn “Call Me Antoine” Jamison–26 points, eight boards and five assists, leading the sorriest bunch of misfits in the entire league as the Wiz get punked at home, this time by the Dunking Denver Nuggets.
Carmelo Anthony–23 points, eight caroms and six dimes, leading the jamfest for Denver in Washington.
David “Lunchbucket” Lee–18 points, 18 rebounds and an assist in a “close, but not cigar” outing against the WC Celtics in the Garden.
Hedo Turkoglu–20 points, six boards and 11 assists, helping out at the point, as Orlando falls to the lowly Pacers in Indianapolis.
Marvin Williams–29 points, seven rebounds and an assist, taking over for the sick Joe “Keep Shooting” Johnson as the Hawks come all the way back to defeat the Polecats Bobcats in Charlotte.
